High-voltage cable failure manifestations:

1. The breakdown of the cable itself mainly occurs where the cable is repeatedly bent

2. Breakdown of the high-voltage plug

3. Open circuit of the cable core: occurs at the welding point between the cable core and the high-voltage plug

Causes of high-voltage cable failures:

1. The high voltage of the machine exceeds the cable withstand voltage

2. Production quality, the cable core is mainly a production quality problem

3. When the machine is in use, the tube moves repeatedly, causing the high-voltage cable head to bend repeatedly, deteriorating the performance of the bend

4. The performance of the insulating material

High-voltage cable failure detection:

1. Offline detection: Use an insulation tester (megameter) to measure the insulation resistance, and use a multimeter to measure the wire continuity.

2. Replacement test: Use a pair of new cables for replacement test.

3. Observation method: Check whether there is a black discharge mark on the cable head, and smell whether there is a peculiar smell with your nose

4. Exchange method: The exchange method is a simple and effective method for judging cable faults by system loading. At the same time, exchange the two cable plugs at the tube end and the high-voltage oil tank end. Use an oscilloscope to detect the KV KV-MA MA test point waveform to see if the fault waveform is exchanged at both ends. If the waveform exchange fails, it can be judged as a high-voltage cable fault, and the high-voltage cable fault at the abnormal waveform end.

Insulation testers are used for maintenance, such as UNI-T UT502, or transformer oil withstand voltage testers are used. Severely damaged cable faults are easy to judge, and some cables are not seriously damaged and difficult to judge.
